CPU3005 Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
Published
Description
Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council (the Authorities) are seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified organisations, for the provision of a Healthwatch service. The Authorities are jointly re-commissioning a Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire service to deliver its statutory duties under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Legislation states that it must be a social enterprise organisation who delivers the Healthwatch function and therefore we are only able to accept bids from organisations who have this status. Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire will scrutinise health and social care services within Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. As an independent health and social care champion they will listen to the issues that really matter to local communities, gathering and representing the views of those who use health and social care services, particularly those whose voice is not listened to. They will use this information to make recommendations to decision makers at the City and County Council’s and the ICB to make change happen and improve standards of health and social care. The contract duration will be for 3 years with a possible extension of 3 years at both Authorities’ discretion. The contract value is estimated to be a maximum of £306,000 per annum, with the total contract value over the approved 3-year term being £918,000. The total potential contract value over the full term, including the discretionary extension period, is £1,836,000, which is subject to further internal approvals being obtained. The anticipated contract start date will be 1 April 2025. This contract will be let under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
