Description

The South Central Ambulance Service Foundation Trust (SCAS) estate includes Hubs (Oxford City, Nursling, Cosham, Winchester and Eastleigh), Resource Centres (High Wycombe, Petersfield, Reading, Bracknell), NEPTS (Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services) sites and Standby points. In the more populous areas of the region SCAS operates a hub and spoke model with its hubs and resource centres, where most of the buildings also house PTS vehicles and crews. There are a further 20 PTS-only buildings. To support the service there are some 38 standby points (which are continually changing in reaction to changes in service need). Other functions include three training venues, aerial masts and two air ambulance bases. SCAS runs three call centres in Otterbourne, Hampshire and Bicester, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire where resilient space (i.e, backed with UPS and generator) is provided for a shared 999 and 111 service. PTS call centre services are also located at these locations as well as at three others. In total SCAS, SCAS owns, leases or licences 110 buildings SCAS is looking to Tender for Hard FM Services, including Mechanical and Electrical, Building Fabric and Specialist Maintenance Services to support the running of the estate.
