ACU ist die standardisierte Steuer- und Benutzerschnittstelle für alle hochpräzisen Leistungswandler von FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research). Diese Wandler liefern den Laststrom für die Magnete der FAIR-Beschleuniger. Verschiedene Ausbaustufen des ACU-Systems decken unterschiedliche Anforderungen der verschiedenen Wandlertypen ab. Beschafft wird die Herstellung, Bestückung und das damit verbundene Qualitätsmanagement für das Adaptive Control Unit (ACU)-System, sowie die Prüfung der zusammengebauten ACU-Module und die optionale endgültige Inbetriebnahme (Programmierung, Kalibrierung und Prüfung).
