Description

The purpose of a phase shifter in an X-ray FEL is to provide an additional delay to the electron beam in order to allow for a perfect coherent superposition of the light emitted by neighbouring undulator segments. Lot 1: An Undulator System for the European XFEL (EuXFEL) comprises up to 35 permanent magnet phase shifters (PMPS’s). EuXFEL wants to purchase ten permanent magnet phase shifters (PMPS) as spare parts for the ones as built for the main series production. Information to II.1.7) Total value of the procurement (excluding VAT): The price of the Phase Shifter is above the EU-threshold.
