Published
Description
Sheffield Children and Young People's Autism and ADHD assessment service - request for additional capacity Prior Information Notice (PIN) Following a significant increase in demand and length of waiting list for autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people (up to the age of 16) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire ICB (Sheffield Place) are looking to outsource some of this activity to more providers in order to help increase capacity and meet some of this additional demand. You are invited to submit an expression of interest if you would like to be considered as a provider to deliver any of this activity. The current service is delivered by Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and this contract will remain in place. We are looking for additional providers to deliver up to 300 assessments per month over a timescale to be agreed. To register your interest, please submit the following information: • What is your current waiting time for assessment? • What capacity are you able to provide (i.e. how many assessments over what period)? • What format do your assessments take - e.g. in person, online, combination of both, how long are they? • If your assessments are in person, please state the location where the assessments take place. • Do you assess for autism and ADHD together or separately? • Which professional group(s) undertake your assessments? E.g. paediatricians, speech and language therapists, psychologists etc.? • Are your assessments compliant with NICE guidelines? • What are your referral/access/exclusion criteria? E.g. do you need certain information/pre-assessments in order to accept referrals? Do you only assess certain age groups? • Do you provide any ongoing follow up or support to children and families following diagnosis? • Do you accept right to choose referrals or just private? • Would you consider outsourcing further assessments? Additional information: Following receipt of expressions of interest, South Yorkshire ICB Sheffield Place will hold a market engagement event with interested providers and relevant stakeholders to review submissions and discuss potential future options which will support in the service specification development. Following the event, if the decision to go out to formal procurement is made, this will be published on the Atamis Procurement portal in April 2024. The financial envelope will also be published at this time. Suppliers will only need to register once in order to access opportunities that are offered by the Health System organisations that are using the system. • If you have already registered on the system (e.g., to access contracts with another Health Family organisation) then there is no need to re-register. • If you have not already done so you should now register as a Supplier on the shared system. You can register here: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome If you find you need advice or support in registering please contact the Atamis helpdesk using the following details: Phone: 0800 9956035 E-mail: support-health@atamis.co.uk The purpose of this PIN is to identify any organisations interested in providing this Service or a stakeholder of the existing service to engage with South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Sheffield. The ICB would like potential providers to express an interest by responding via the portal. The ICB are not liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in this PIN or, for any future tendering activity. Please register your interest through the Atamis by the deadline of noon on Thursday 28th March. The information you provide to NHS South Yorkshire ICB will be to assess interest in the market. Dependent upon the response to this PIN the authority will determine if this requirement will form the basis of a competitive procurement process. If a competitive procurement is to take place the authority will inform those organisations who have registered an interest as described above with more information. The information to be provided by South Yorkshire ICB will include, but not be limited to the type of procurement process, the timescales, and the evaluation criteria for any future procurement process.
