NHS Tayside is inviting interested parties to submit a business case for the provision of general medical services under a General Medical Services Contract for approximately 3616 patients in Errol, Perth. The full Invitation to Submit a Business Case document is available in the additional documents section of this notice Lot 1: Tayside Health Board (more commonly known as NHS Tayside) (“NHS Tayside”)is inviting interested parties who have the capacity and capability to provide general medical services to patients in Errol, Perth that meet the requirements set out in the attached additional document to submit a proposed business case. Business cases for the service provision in whole or in part will be considered. This requirement has arisen to provide general medical services for patients who are currently registered with Carse Medical Practice, Errol, Perth to a list of approximately 3616 patients, as at March 2025. NHS Tayside wishes to select a new service provider with the capacity and capability to meet the needs of these patients by delivering high quality, person centred clinical services in a primary care setting, all in accordance with NHS Tayside’s requirements set out in Appendix 1 (“Requirement”) as an independent contractor in accordance with Section 17J of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 as amended. The services will build on existing best practice, and focus on a community and health and social care approach. The clinical services will be delivered in an environment that provides patient care of a standard consistent with that of similar services provided elsewhere within NHS Tayside. It will be important that Applicants involved in the planning and/or delivery of existing schemes and services can demonstrate that they have sufficient capacity so as not to prejudice delivery of primary medical services under any other contract an Applicant may have with NHS Tayside or pre-existing schemes or the ability of NHS Tayside itself to deliver services. The successful Applicant will be required to enter into a contract with NHS Tayside on the terms of the General Medical Services Contract(“GMS Contract”) the form of which is prescribed by The National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Regulations 2018 as amended, or replaced from time to time.
