The EPA, request tenders for the supply, deliver, installation, and commissioning of a Liquid Chromatograph with Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry System for the analysis of compounds in environmental samples (primarily river and lake water). These compounds include plant protection products, biocides, industrial chemicals, and pharmaceuticals to be monitored at levels allowing assessment of compliance with Environmental Quality Standards (EQS), and required Limits of quantitation (LOQs) as defined in European directives (Water Framework Directive and daughter directives), domestic legislation (Surface water regulations and amendments), and compounds of emerging concern including those defined European surface water Watch list decisions. Vendors will be required to demonstrate the capability of the proposed system by analysing samples prepared by the Environmental Protection Agency and must present results which demonstrate the instruments’ ability to meet the required sensitivity. Samples must be analysed within a time frame specified by the Environmental Protection Agency and at no cost to the Environmental Protection Agency.
