Lease of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) -Based 3D Printers for Educational and Research Purposes. The Engineering & Environment team of the University of Northumbria at Newcastle is preparing for an upcoming tender for the lease of 3D printers to enhance our teaching and research capabilities. The tender will cover the provision of 17 average-sized FDM 3D printers and 3 larger format printers. These printers will be utilised by a diverse range of users, from undergraduate students to professors, across various disciplines including architecture, engineering, and more. Lot 1: The Engineering & Environment team of the University of Northumbria at Newcastle is preparing for an upcoming tender for the lease of 3D printers to enhance our teaching and research capabilities. The tender will cover the provision of 17 average-sized FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printers and 3 larger format printers. These printers will be utilised by a diverse range of users, from undergraduate students to professors, across various disciplines including architecture, engineering, and more. Scope of Requirement: - The leased 3D printers will support a wide range of activities, from producing intricate architectural models to creating structural engineering components. - Printers must be robust, user-friendly, and intuitive to accommodate users with varying levels of skills and knowledge. - Flexibility in the systems is essential to cater to different printing needs and applications. Objectives - Supply and lease 17 average-sized FDM-based 3D printers and 3 larger format printers. - Provide any necessary software and particle extraction systems. - Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing support. Additional information: Suppliers are invited to register their interest in the upcoming tender and provide input on the specifications to align with industry standards.
