Provision of Hoists

Description

This contract is for the Provision of a Service to Survey, Supply, Install and Maintain, Remove, Recondition, Store, Reissue and Dispose of Ceiling Track Hoists, Mobile Hoists and Gantry Hoists for Service Users in their own homes. This contract will enable Durham County Council to fulfil its duty of care to ensure that all assessed needs for ceiling track hoists, mobile hoists and gantry hoists are met throughout the period of the contractual arrangement. The contract will maximise the opportunities to recondition and recycle all items to ensure best value. Lot 1: This contract requires the successful provider to undertake responsibility for the provision of servicing, maintenance, removal, reconditioning, storage, reissue and disposal of hoists that are in the community to service users who reside in the following, in County Durham: • Domestic properties • Independent Supported Housing establishments • Extra Care Housing • Residential Care Homes for adults and children • University Accommodation The contract also includes the survey, supply, installation, maintenance, removal, reconditioning, storage and disposal of straight track hoists, X-Y systems and turntable hoists and also any additional specialist ceiling track hoists.
