Grŵp Cynefin is issuing this prior information notice (PIN) to notify the market of a possible tender opportunity commencing later in 2019. Grŵp Cynefin is proposing to construct a new 3-storey Extra Care facility comprising 35 apartments together with communal areas as an extension to its existing Extra Care facility in Ruthin which is known as ‘Llys Awelon’. The purpose of this PIN is to identify potential interested organisations that have expertise in the construction of ‘Extra Care’ residential facilities with particular experience of constructing extensions to existing occupied residential facilities that house frail and elderly residents. Grŵp Cynefin is a Housing Association that provides homes across the six North Wales and North Powys local authority areas. Our vision is making a positive difference to lives and communities. We will do this through providing excellent homes and services, contributing to the development of sustainable communities and protecting and promoting the Welsh language with pride. Grŵp Cynefin is seeking expressions of interest from organisations or collaborations with previous experience of constructing high quality Extra Care housing with sufficient capacity to deliver its programme objectives within agreed timescales. The proposed programme is for works to commence on site in September 2020 and be completed by May 2022. To this end, interested parties are invited to initially submit an expression of interest to Bryn Davies at Grŵp Cynefin at bryn.davies@grwpcynefin.org by no later than the 3.12.2019 detailing the following: 1) Name of your organisation or collaboration and brief description of its background and experience relevant to the proposed Works; 2) Please provide full details of all previous relevant experience that you have of undertaking similar works and a description of the key benefits that your organisation could provide; 3) Confirmation that you have the current capacity to deliver the required objectives and availability of resources; 4) Any other comments or suggestions.
