ABC Council seeks to appoint a suitably qualified team to fully manage, coordinate and deliver the Welding/Fabrication Academy in 2024/2025 to support the local economy and support local people into employment. This intervention is an important strand under Strategic Priority 2 of the ABC LMP Action Plan 2024/2025: To improve employability outcomes and/or labour market conditions locally. Collaborative bids which demonstrate experience are welcome. The successful delivery partner or collaboration partners will have extensive experience in the field of engaging community and industry effectively to make a difference in Employability and Skills outcomes. This should include training provision relating to communication, skills and confidence building. Experience engaging with employers and/or the business community is also a requirement. Should demand/budget increase contractors must have the capacity to increase delivery. Flexibility, creativity and adaptability will be of critical importance to achieve the desired outputs of this programme to help develop a pipeline of people with the right skills to meet industry needs.
