Description
The Health Research Board (HRB) is a state agency that supports research and provides evidence to prevent illness, improve health and transform patient care. The HRB has 65 staff. Our annual budget is in excess of €45m and we manage a research investment portfolio of approximately €200m. The agency is funded mainly by the Department of Health, and Board members are appointed by the Minister for Health. The HRB requires specialist Pension Advisory Service with particular emphasis on Public Sector pension related experience. The service sought will provide efficient and effective pensions advice, administration and support services in respect of Local Government Superannuation Scheme, the related Widow’s and Spouse Scheme and the Single Public Service Pension Scheme and will be required to include technical advice & consultancy, administrative pension support, pension trustee reporting (where applicable), provision of Annual Pension statements and other ancillary administration services. Requirements This list of activities forming the service is indicative and not exhaustive and may be subject to change. Coordinate in conjunction with HR Manager all aspects of scheme(s) administration Generate personalized /generic LGSS annual pension benefit statements both annually and on an Ad Hoc basis as requested by HRB HR Single Public Service Pension Scheme administration / support Advising and where applicable providing calculations for supplementary pensions Day to day administrative support Pension presentations for staff and follow-on meetings Provision of general consultancy in relation to the scheme Support all other aspects of the pension process for the HRB and/or its members This service is expected to be in the region of 20-30 days per annum.
