These products can be purchased by individual health boards or by a group of health boards and are delivered direct to each acute site across Scotland. The supply of a dual-chamber pacemakers this is a small, electrical device that can be implanted into the chest to regulate the heartbeat. It works by generating electric impulses that are sent to the right atrium and right ventricle of the heart, thereby stimulating contractions and allowing the two chambers to maintain rhythm. These products are used within a clinical setting across NHS Scotland. We envisage five (5) suppliers to be awarded to this lot as a Multi Supplier Unranked award.
