Description

The University of the Creative Arts at Epsom is proposing to create a new business school for the creative industries at Epsom Campus, and requires full design team capabilities for the design (up to RIBA Outline Plan Stage of Work- Stage 4), excluding project management and quantity surveying services. The design will include the provision of teaching and learning space, social and catering space and administration space and will include a new covered quadrangle linking back into a number of existing buildings. An Open SQ will be issued via our InTend eProcurement Portal to suppliers in mid-April. This stage will be used to create a shortlist of architects to take through to the ITT. As part of the ITT, the shortlisted candidates will be required to submit to a design competition due to be held in May 2018. The university has agreed to provide capped funding for reasonable expenses incurred in preparing for the competition. Following the evaluation of the designs submitted, a final selection will take place at the end of May 2018. The awarded architect will be required to develop their design to a full planning application by the end of the 2018.
