Cadent plays a vital role in delivering gas to 11 million homes and we must maintain our infrastructure to a high standard and ensure the network is capable to meet energy demands. As such, Cadent is required to upgrade existing networks which entails temporarily disconnecting gas suppliers to allow works to be done. Cadent also responds to reports of gas emergencies and unplanned gas outages. This means Cadent customers could be found left if a vulnerable situation i.e. no means of cooking or heating. To ensure customers who have been left in a vulnerable situation as a result of disrupted gas supply caused by works carried out, Cadent seeks to issue food vouchers to those customers to ensure they have access to hot meals. Therefore, it is Cadent Gas's intention to introduce a new agreement for the Provision of food vouchers. Lot 1: Cadent wishes to engage a supplier to provide up to ~24,000 £15 (face value) food vouchers per annum for at least 5 years. Quantity is an estimate and could potentially be more than 24,000. The supplier must provide a wide variety of options under one voucher code to ensure all dietary needs are met whilst providing a large choice to customers without creating a complex internal process for Cadent Gas field force. The minimum should include Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. The supplier is also required to create and maintain a bespoke Cadent branded redemption website for customers to make selections and redeem their chosen vouchers.
