Galliford Try, as one of the East Region Delivery Integration Partners, is delivering the A47 North Tuddenham to Easton project in the County of Norfolk on behalf of National Highways. This project, which is part of major improvements to the existing A47, replaces the existing single carriageways between North Tuddenham and Easton with a dual carriageway, linking the existing dual carriageway at North Tuddenham to the Southern Norwich Bypass at Easton. The route is offline and crosses the existing A47 at three separate locations. Outline Scope of Works: Galliford try is looking for Contractors to provide Provision of vehicle recover in roadworks for the construction of the A47 North Tuddenham to Easton Dual Carriageway. Including, but not limited to, mobilisation, maintenance and demobilisation of recovery bases. Providing a service 24 hours a day with the provision of light and heavy recovery vehicles and recovery impact protection vehicles. Providing the capability to deal with Pothole repairs / spillages, removal of shed loads, debris and dead animals. Recovery operators will be pivotal with regards to incident management with responsibility for dealing with incidents, co-ordinating with the CCTV Control Room - relating information (including vehicle details and contact details where applicable for red and green claims), collaborating with emergency services, traffic safety supervisors & traffic management crews, achieving the required arrival time to incidents under 15 minutes and clearance times of under an hour. Vehicle Recovery will be provided in accordance with Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8, Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, National Highways Raising, the Bar, Manual of Contract Documents for Highways works and sector scheme approval. Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. All interested suppliers should hold all the relevant certification, qualifications and experience of providing this type of work. Programme: It is anticipated that the above scope of works will commence in February 2025 Timing: Deadline for Notifications of Interest 17:30 hrs on Thursday 22nd August 2024. Galliford Try Procurement Process: To secure work with Galliford Try, a supplier will need to pass the PAS91 onboarding process administered through Builders Profile.
