The Contract provides for the Detailed Design and Construction of the following flood alleviation works, which comprises provision of additional capacity along the culverted River Wad: Tunnelled culvert, circa 34m long, 1500mm diameter between no. 96 and no. 97 Howth Road to operate in parallel with existing culvert route. • Circa 5m long culvert connection from tunnelled culvert to existing culvert. • Connection chamber to split flows between new and existing culvert routes. • Drive and reception shafts to facilitate tunnel construction. • Removal and disposal of all surplus materials • At each work area and construction compound: reinstatement and landscaping in accordance with the reinstatement plans. • Temporary works include establishing and securing a main construction compound, which will be in operation for the entire duration of the Works; and temporary works/ set down areas at Howth Road.
