Places for People are looking to appoint contractors on a regional basis throughout England and Scotland for repairs related to Living+ property acquisitions, Dis-repair cases, PRS (private rented sector) Voids, PRS day to day and PRS planned works. Places for People intend to issue a tender in February via an existing dynamic purchasing system. This advert is placed with the intention of providing access to the DPS for contractors not already registered. Contractors can register for the DPS and complete the SQ at https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=40509924-11a2-e711-80e6-005056b64545 Contractors already on the DPS need not apply again as they will automatically receive the invitation to tender Contractors should join the DPS before 25th January so the SQ can be evaluated before the tender is published in February Voids PRS Stock- Contractors will be invited to tender on voids ideally these will be done in batches of 4 or 5 at a time, occasionally they could be individually which could be negotiated based on previous tenders submitted to reduce timeframes. Part of the void works could be carrying out investment works to bring the property into more desirable condition to warrant an increase in rent. In works could include be refurbishment of kitchens, bathrooms or the overall property. PRS team are wanting to build a long-term relationship with the contractor to ensure things are running smoothly with a minimum supervision. Day to Day Repairs PRS Stock- Once the initial jobs have been tendered, going forward these could be negotiated or quoted for – dependant on the works required. The contractor would be requested to provide a responsive service with costs in excessive of £3k. Full property refurbishment and conversion works- Framework contractors will be asked to competitively tender full property refurbishment(s) as specified in the building surveyors SOW. Price, start on site date and duration are critical criteria considered prior to award. Works typically include, FRA works such as fire doors, alarm systems and fire walls, new kitchens, bathrooms, heating alterations, electrical works, plastering, decoration and tiling.
