EV Infrastructure Market Engagement Event

Published

Description

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), in collaboration with Peterborough City Council (PCC) and Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), is actively seeking contractors for the implementation of public Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure as part of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund initiative. We are currently in the process of developing a comprehensive EV Infrastructure Strategy for the entire CPCA area. Preliminary estimates indicate that, by 2030, we will require approximately 10,000 public EV charging stations, with a significant number likely to be installed along public roads. To achieve this ambitious infrastructure goal by 2030, the Councils are seeking contractors with the necessary expertise and capabilities for the rapid deployment of this essential infrastructure. This will be a turn-key solution where selected contractors will need to invest capital into the project. Please note that ownership of the underground infrastructure will revert to the councils at the conclusion of the contract term, in accordance with LEVI funding requirements. To facilitate our procurement strategy and ensure the best possible value for the residents of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we invite interested suppliers to participate in an upcoming event. Your participation will provide valuable input and insights. Event Details: Location: Bourges Room, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough, PE1 1HF Date: Friday, October 13th Time: 1:00 PM To assist with event planning, we kindly request that interested suppliers RSVP on our portal. This will help us estimate the number of suppliers interested in attending the event. During the event, we will explore several key aspects, including: Technological solutions and their potential for future adaptability. Various business and commercial models, including private finance and investment levels, as well as contract duration. The deployment capacity of potential contractors and their readiness for the market. The ability of contractors to deliver social value as part of the project. Following the event, we will distribute a questionnaire to collect more detailed feedback from attendees. We look forward to your participation and collaboration in achieving our EV infrastructure goals.
