105.1 As part of the transformation, the ODP are committed to enhancing the existing depot facilities at Treherbert to provide adequate facilities for welfare, administration and storage. The works are subdivided into three elements, namely design and construct, construct only and the element of works that would be subject to the client’s notice to proceed:Design and Construct ElementFollowing is required as per Figure 5 of the Stage C (Outline Design) Documents:• Provide a modular welfare building for an increased train crew capacity up to 88 persons on adjacent NR owned land to include: PAD foundations for modular building, Route of all utilities and services for modular building ;o The Contractor will need allow for all associated civil works associated with the installation of ducting, pipework and/or cabling for Statutory Undertakers, a 10m allowance of trenching per connection per Utility connection,o The Contractor needs to complete all service connections within the modular building and system testing / commissioning,o The Contractor needs to supply cost for all logistics and installation including associated civils. Treherbert building shall meet TfWRL service delivery operational requirements which are captured within the Stage C (Outline Design) Documents (see Section 2700), Treherbert building shall meet the Cleaning Subcontractors storage space requirements as defined in the Stage C (Outline Design) Documents, Treherbert building shall satisfy all requirements in current standards and regulations to meet the needs of persons with reduced mobility, Provide the following facilities/rooms;o a training/meeting room,o Drying, Locker, Canteen & Rest Room,o Toilets and Shower facilities in welfare building, to include provision for male, female and disabled members of staff,o Canteen/ Rest Room in the welfare building to include a food preparation area,o The Locker Room in the welfare building to accommodate a minimum 88no. lockers.Construct Only Element• Construct retaining wall (Drawing No . TRAN01-KAW-R2-THT-DDR-S-ST-000022), the works are limited to the first 35m of retaining wall, which relates to unit no. 1 through to 27 of the design, behind staff accommodation building, the tie-in detail is subject to re-design and the additional 75m do not form part of the works at this stage.• Works to include supply and complete installation of precast wall units, all associated earthworks, drainage, fencing and finishings required.• Provide temporary earthwork detail support to end of 35m wall in lieu of permanent tie-in details.Construct Only Element subject to Notice to Proceed (N2P)• Alter and refurbish the existing station building to support depot administration and enhance public functions,• Parking provisions,• Vehicular and pedestrian access to the new building, and• Construct end detail for end of retaining wall (i.e. at 35m).NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=148436.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
