This Tender aims to select a Contractor based upon examples of previous work, financial viability, Health & Safety procedures, skills, experience of working with Councils and Community Groups, and expertise to delivering a fully funded project from start to finish within budget. The Applicant is required to provide value for money, use local suppliers where possible, deliver added value, cause minimum disturbance to the community whilst delivering a durable, well-designed concrete skatepark and a pump track built to a high quality that suits the needs of the local young people and adheres to the Authority's requirements. It has been agreed that approximately a quarter of the budget go towards the pump track aspect of the build, with a minimum of 75% of the budget being committed to the skatepark. This could mean the Pump track can be built as soon as we have completed a successful planning application. We will also consider a Skatepark design that has a minimum of 25% that can be ridden as a pump track rather than a separate pump track. The list below shows the importance of what is wanted from the design of the new park. A bowl area was the most asked for item with a pump track and a box.
