Description
The requirement is for routine standardised testing of door closers. The applicable tests, setups and parameters for the products are specified in the designated British Standards Institute legislation - BS EN 1154:1997: Building Hardware Controlled Door Closing Devices. The aims of testing are to (A) perform a series of screen tests on products on the UK market to verify their efficacy against the requirements and test methods and, (B) to gather data on this product sector, which will feed into the wider OPSS Construction Products planning. This award notice relates to a secondary contract that will only be utilised when the primary contract cannot be used. This approach was fully articulated in the procurement documents.
