To address the varied range of risks within our asset base, the Client is looking to appoint a Strategic Solutions Identification Partner (the “Consultant”) to complement our in-house Engineering function and Construction Partners in the delivery of the AMP8 capital plan. Affordability and best value is a key issue for our customers in the North West meaning that the Client needs to lower the overall cost of risk resolution. This will be achieved through activities like programme optimisation, root cause analysis, needs challenge and TOTEX optioneering. The Consultant will give essential support to create current and future investment plans by exploring and developing new ways to optimise our existing asset base along with looking to deliver more innovative new assets. Innovation is a key driving force, allowing the Client to deliver key objectives while reducing the overall whole life costs and therefore providing the best value for our customers. The Consultant will support the improvement of environmental outcomes and low carbon solutions to meet affordability thresholds, embrace integrated catchment solutions, embed Minimal Viable Product, enhance the use of standard products and solutions, offsite construction and modular build. By using a Strategic Solutions Identification Partner, the Client is looking to gain a clearer understanding of our communities and customer’s long term needs including environmental and social value.
