Description

Maynooth University operates under the ISO 50001:2018 certified Energy Management System (EnMS). This certification represents the university's proactive approach to decarbonisation, energy conservation and environmental responsibility. ISO 50001 is an internationally recognized standard that outlines the best practices for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an energy management system. It’s goal is to enable organisations to follow a systematic approach in achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, use, and consumption. Certification to this standard demonstrates Maynooth University’s commitment to managing energy resources responsibly and reducing their environmental impact. Maynooth University’s ISO50001 Energy Management System achieved re-certification in Spring 2024. The system operates across multiple Academic, Administrative, Residential, Commercial and Sports facilities on the North and South Campuses. Maynooth University requires a service provider to maintain and upkeep this on-site ISO50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) and to ensure re-certification of the system as required. Energy monitoring is a key component of efficient energy management on Campus. As an important element of our energy management package, we require a qualified service provider able to maintain, upkeep and extend our system. The service provider should offer continuous support for our remote energy monitoring system, meticulous reporting, and proficient management across both university campuses. The energy monitoring system plays a crucial role in identifying energy consumption and thereby targeting carbon reduction and energy saving opportunities. The system is also integral in supplying data for our ISO50001 EnMS. The Service Provider will be responsible for the management and operation of the system including the provision of new and additional metering equipment as required to manage the site's energy use. Tenderers should provide a relevant and specific Service Delivery Plan describing how they will operate the day to day running of the required service. This must be relevant and specific to the requirements of Maynooth University. Maynooth University operates under the ISO 50001:2018 certified Energy Management System (EnMS).
