Aberdeen City Council require the provision of a Criminal Justice Outreach Support service and an Employability service. Lot 1: Criminal Justice - Outreach Support Service The Service Provider shall aim to help Supported Persons towards positive and 'offence free' independent living in the community. The Service Provider shall work in partnership with Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership Criminal Justice Social Work service, Aberdeen City Council, NHS Grampian, Housing Providers, Police Scotland, Scottish Prison Service and other agencies to support, and in exceptional circumstances monitor, individuals in the community. It is expected that the Service Provider will participate in the MAPPA process as required. Levels of support will vary depending on individual needs and risk levels but will initially be a minimum of one weekly session once in the community. For those with more intensive needs the Service Provider will provide contact during custody if appropriate and will be an integral part of the risk management and contingency plan in preparation for release. Support is designed to enable Supported Persons to develop skills for independent living; such as: domestic skills, budgeting, literacy, and numeracy, accessing further education or employment and social skills. Lot 2: Criminal Justice - Employability Service Aberdeen City Council require an Employability service consisting of a skills-based approach for individuals aged 16 and over who are resident in Aberdeen and who are currently receiving a service from Justice Social Work. Additional information: This is not a call for competition; Experienced providers are asked to note an interest in delivering the service. Notes of interest should be submitted before 15/02/24 by email to smelvin@aberdeencity.gov.uk along with a brief narrative detailing relevant examples of equivalent services carried out during the last three years, to evidence experience.
