Met Office Mooring Ropes for ODAS Buoys The current network of Mobilis DB14000 series data buoys are tethered to the seabed with inverse catenary rope moorings. These moorings are expected to survive for 6+ years. Mooring depths vary across sites from 750m to 4800m. The mooring ropes need to be delivered to – The National Oceanographic Centre, Waterfront Campus European Way, Southampton SO14 3ZH. This tender is for a 3 year zero-commitment contract with an option to extend for a further year. Mooring ropes will be replaced on a as and when need basis. Keywords: Marine, Buoy
