From September 2022, the Flying Start programme will be expanded to reach up to 2,500 more children aged 0 to 4 by increasing the Flying Start target areas in every local authority in Wales.To meet this target, Newport City Council is expanding the Flying Start childcare provision in Newport with a particular emphasis on strengthening Welsh-medium provision. The Council are seeking to retender for an approved list of childcare providers in Newport which will operate from 1 May 2025 until 23 February 2029.The approved list will as previously be established using a Dynamic Purchasing System in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations 2015. This is the first round, and current and new providers in market are able to apply.A second round will be issued in May 2025 and will remain open until 23. Express an Interest in the Project- Login to the portal with the username/password- Click the “PQQs Open to All Suppliers” link.
