Description

The primary issue that the Danish Energy Agency wishes to investigate in the request for offers is the effects of different bidding zone configurations both onshore in neighbouring countries and offshore in particular in the North Sea. The consultant shall provide a quantitative analysis of the effects of different bidding zone scenarios. These include relevant scenarios from ACER’s pan-European bidding zone review as well as assumptions on future offshore wind production in neighbouring countries that can either be part of onshore bidding zones in their home country or part of new offshore bidding zones. The specific 4-6 scenarios will be defined together with the Danish Energy Agency Furthermore, the analysis shall provide a qualitative discussion on future developments, and how it will affect the findings from the quantitative analysis. The specific questions will be defined together with the Danish Energy Agency. However, the consultant is encouraged to add further suggestions in their offer.
