Tameside Council wishes to invite providers to express their interest and submit their bids for the provision of Community Falls Prevention Service. This service will form part of the Falls Prevention Pathway. Many elements of this pathway support people following a fall; however, this service will also take a community-based, preventative approach to address risks and prevent people falling. This pathway will provide a holistic approach and reduce duplication. The aim is to reduce falls amongst Tameside residents aged 65 and over, with specific objectives to: •Deliver a universal falls prevention marketing programme with the aim of preventing first fall. •Identify and help people at higher risk of falls or who have already fallen. •Deliver a falls prevention programme (secondary prevention) This opportunity is advertised under a light touch regime (CPV Code-98000000-3) Keywords: Falls Prevention, Community Falls Service, Falls Risk Assessment , Strength and balance training , Postural Stability specialist , Adults
