A literacy software with speech synthesis that converts text into spoken voice output to support students at university with reading, writing, and researching. The literacy software must be capable of reading web pages and documents such as MS Word files and locked PDFs to improve a student’s reading comprehension, contain word prediction, a picture dictionary, a speaking dictionary. It should contain OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality to convert printed documents and images into accessible files. The software should allow for one account to be used on multiple devices and provide an Irish native-sounding voice, as one of the voice options.
