Detailed specification To remove soil bund from cemetery and level ground to reclaim land in cemetery for the use of more burials. The following information is provided for guidance, contractors are expected to undertake their own evaluation and measurements. The bund volume is approximately 1106m3 in volume, the available area to tip onto is approx. 1881m2. One potential option is to grade the existing subsoil from 0 at the grave side to approx. 1m at the house side (forming a wedge) this will be compacted in layers to facilitate grave digging through the new profile. The topsoil will be re-spread and seeded on completion. This should give a workable area of around 2200m2. The council are open to variations that still meet the objective of increased burial space at the Cemetery.
