Narborough Parish Council is inviting tenders for works to the Village Hall, Biddle Road, Littlethorpe, Leicestershire LE19 2HD. The work focuses on making the building accessible with a reconfiguration of the toilet block and works to the entrance area, including the paved area outside the building. A site visit will be required and can be arranged via the Parish Clerk. Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the following works: Toilet Block In accordance with plans, remove existing sanitaryware, existing stud walls, floorcovering and fibreboard material from ceilings. Create new timber stud walls and door openings as per the new layout plan to create new ladies, gents and disabled toilets. Supply and fit of external doors with ironmongery to toilet block. Walls to be plaster boarded and skimmed. Repositioning of waste units to suit plan. Floor to be screeded and fitted with polysafe floor covering. Duct panelling and cubicles constructed from 13mm waterproof compact grade laminate. Supply all sanitary ware (including accessible toilet and baby changing) and electrics (hand dryers, convector heaters with time control, sensor-controlled extractor fans, sensor controlled light fittings, emergency alarm system in disabled toilet, new circuits for heaters/hand dryers). Tiling above wash basins as required. Walls to be painted. Other Supply and fit matching door to kitchen area and boiler room Porch/Entrance A...mber stud work, plasterboard and skim. Remove the external (porch) entrance doors and supply and fit a single 1000 mm door with vision panel and ironmongery (to regulations for wheelchair access), and an infill panel. Replace 8 existing double-glazed units and supply and fit 8 toughened double glazed units. Take up and relay the slabs in front of external entrance doors to create a level access to the front door (approximately 46 square metres) All waste to be removed from site. Own arrangements to be made for waste removal including any licences/permits required, costs to be included in tender. A comprehensive after sales service should be available in order to cover any guarantees or repairs in the future. Details to be provided. A deposit may be paid on confirmation of order if required. The final invoice will be paid within 30 days of the works being completed and signed off. A professional asbestos survey has been carried out and a copy is available to view. A sample from the ladies' toilet cistern was found to contain Amosite, which was listed as low action priority. No findings recommended specialist removal. Important Information for Contractors Works are required to be completed ideally by 30th September 2024. Selection will be made based on a number of factors, including ability to complete within timeframe stated, expertise and experience, evidence of previous work and safe working practices, detailed tender, cost, location of contractor.
