The requirement is for sample handling capabilities under cryo-conditions capable of sample manipulation under cryo-conditions following high pressure freezing. The requirement is for sample transfer capabilities under cryo/vacuum conditions to be compatible with the system detailed in LOT no. 2. This system will enable the transfer of biological samples into an ultra high vacuum Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer instrument and high vacuum EM instrumentation, prepared and maintained in the frozen hydrated state. Cryo/vacuum-sample transfer chamber should be available under appropriate vacuum and temperature conditions, and within a timely manner, to avoid sublimation and devitrification).
