Mit dieser Markterkundung möchte sich das Max-Planck-Institut für Multidisziplinäre Naturwissenschaften, Göttingen eine Übersicht über mögliche Bieter verschaffen die in der Lage sind das Sequenzierungsgerät NextSeq 2000 von der Firma Illumina zu warten und einen Service hierfür anzubieten. Der Auftraggeber behält sich weitere vergaberechtliche Schritte vor.
