22/060 - Electric Vehicle Smart Charging for Irish Water

Irish Water intends to procure an Electric Smart Charging Solution for the Irish Water Electric Vehicle fleet in order to meet our strategic sustainability goals and comply with the Clean vehicle Directive. Irish Water operate over 1,000 vehicles ranging from Light Commercial Vehicles to Heavy Goods Vehicles. Irish Water is looking for potential provider(s) in the market that can cover all aspects of Electric Vehicle Smart Charging, including, not limited to: •Supply of Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers for Domestic Charging i.e. Homes of Irish Water Staff; •Supply of Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers for Commercial Charging i.e. Irish Water Premises (offices, depots, stores & treatment sites); •Access to the public Electric Vehicle Charging network (including inoperability between differing charging providers); •Management, operation, and maintenance of all of Irish Water’s installed Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers; •Management, operation, and maintenance of user interface Lot 1: 22/060 - Electric Vehicle Smart Charging for Irish Water Irish Water intends to procure an Electric Smart Charging Solution for the Irish Water Electric Vehicle fleet in order to meet our strategic sustainability goals and comply with the Clean vehicle Directive (CVD). Currently Irish Water operate over 1,000 vehicles ranging from Light Commercial Vehicles to Heavy Goods Vehicles. Irish Water is looking for potential provider(s) in the market that can cover all aspects of Electric Vehicle Smart Charging, including but not limited to: •Supply of Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers for Domestic Charging i.e. Homes of Irish Water Staff; •Supply of Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers for Commercial Charging i.e. Irish Water Premises (offices, depots, stores & treatment sites); •Access to the public Electric Vehicle Charging network (including inoperability between differing charging providers) ; •Management, operation, and maintenance of all of Irish Water’s installed Electric Vehicle Smart Chargers; •Management, operation, and maintenance of user interface (e.g. apps, fobs…etc including backend) for accessing chargers in the home, Irish Water premise(s) and Public Charging Network; •Design & Delivery of a tailored billing solution, with a particular emphasis on Domestic Charging for staff renumeration; •Management of a billing and payments solution for the charging of Electric Vehicles; •Provide reports or dashboard on usage from each smart charger installed and public charge usage in order to provide stratified information on charging habits and practises; •Provision of a 24hour call centre/dedicated technical support line; •Installation of Electric vehicle smart chargers in Domestic & Commercial settings. This Request For Information (RFI) and the subsequent meetings (if required) are intended to create a forum of interaction to assist Irish Water with research on the structure of the market and specialist competencies available in the area of Electric Vehicle Smart Charging The principal objective of this exercise is to receive feedback from the marketplace relating to Irish Waters business requirements. It is expected to bring a provider’s perspective to the fore prior to the commencement of a tender competition. The RFI expectations will be the following: 1.Maximise compliance with EU and national procurement rules by achieving appropriate transparency, competition and fairness with regard to the award of this potential contract. 2.Establish the nature, structure and capacity of the market to deliver Electric Vehicle Charging to Irish Water. 3.Planned Meetings (If meetings are required, please provide details. See example below) Irish Water may organise meetings in the coming months with interested parties. The venue and date(s) will be advised to respondents in due course. Irish Water may select a cross section of companies based on their submissions and specialties. Irish Water may invite up to 5 interested parties with proven experience in Electric Vehicle Smart Charging to present and show case their offering in a workshop in an Irish Water office or alternatively a virtual session held over Zoom / MS Teams. IW is conducting a market sounding exercise to understand availability in the market to suit its needs. This PIN intends to identify parties who wish to engage with this exercise. Complete & submit RFI document attached to this notice. IW may invite up to six interested parties with proven & demonstrated experience in Catering Services to present & showcase their offering in a workshop.
