Description

The Authority (NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) has six Cellular & Molecular Therapies (CMT) laboratories located across England which provide a range of services to support haemopoietic stem cell transplantation. The provision of this service will include the storage of stem cell products at below -150OC using liquid nitrogen. The Authority stem cell laboratories are currently located at Birmingham, Bristol, Barnsley, Liverpool, Oxford, and Southampton. Additionally, CMT has four cell therapy facilities licensed to manufacture, store and distribute advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP). These are located at Birmingham, Barnsley, Liverpool and Filton.
