Description
Keep Wales Tidy has a requirement for a qualified and professional translation service to support the bilingual delivery of its Caru Cymru project from April 2022 to June 2023. Members of the Keep Wales Tidy Marketing and Communications Team will contact the supplier directly to request text translations from English to Welsh as and when translation is required. The supplier must promptly respond to requests, providing a quote for each translation task. Documents will vary in terms of purpose and length. These include, but are not limited to, the following: • Press releases and press release templates • Web copy • Social media messaging • Letters • Posters and other signage • Presentations • Policy and research briefings All translation must be in line with the style and tone outlined in the Keep Wales Tidy and Caru Cymru language and branding guidelines. A glossary of key environmental terms must be utilised to ensure consistency. Text should be interpreted in the original style, rather than translating it word for word. The supplier must have a designated email address and telephone number and be available between 9.00 and 17.00 from Monday to Friday. Although we allow for up to five working days for translation in most cases, the supplier will need to be able to complete some shorter requests in tighter deadlines. An invoice for Caru Cymru translation services must be provided monthly to the Keep Wales Tidy Finance Team. The contract will run from 1 April 2022 to 30 June 2023, when the current Caru Cymru project comes to an end. Estimated value of the contract is £10,000, including VAT. The budget stated is for the contract as a whole and the work that may be required over the 15-month contract duration. Services will be required on an as and when basis. Please email amy.lloyd@keepwalestidy.cymru with your written application. Please include: • An introduction to your agency and your work • A rate card for translation services • Examples of work in the environmental field • Demonstration of your ability to deliver the work within the perimeters outlined
