Swansea Council (the Employer) intends to carry out External Wind and Weatherproofing Insulation upgrades as well as new Windows / Doors and Roof Finishes at West Cross Phase 7 – Chestnut Avenue and surrounding areas.Site visits may be arranged to assist with the detail required for tendering, ascertain the nature of the site, access thereto and all local conditions and restrictions and availability of resources likely to affect the execution of the works. Inspection of the site/establishment/properties is to be made strictly on an appointment basis through the eTenderWales platform. Swansea Council Project Manager is Nathan Rees – Senior Project Manager The Contractor will be appointed in April 2025, Start on site will be approximately June 2025.The Contractor is responsible for taking all final measurements and must visit site to determine accurate site dimensions and quantities as required. No extras will be allowed arising from information which could have been gained through a proper site inspection. Windows shall be constructed of PVCu with steel reinforcement to frames. The material shall be white. Existing windows to be carefully removed taking care to minimise damage to internal reveals. Windows to be disposed off-site, glass to be recycled. Carefully remove existing door taking care not to cause any damage to the door or frame.
