South Tyneside Council is currently remodelling its advocacy provision for adults, with the intention to commence a procurement exercise for a long-term contractual arrangement. A market engagement event was held in February 2024 to set out the proposed service model (slides attached). The Council is in the process of finalising the funding envelope and wishes to gather information from the market in relation to current/anticipated hourly rates for each of the following: • Care Act Advocacy • Independent Mental Health Advocacy • Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy/Relevant Person’s Representative/Rule 1.2 rep • NHS Complaints Advocacy • Non-statutory general advocacy The Council would be grateful if willing providers could forward this information to Michelle.Olsen@southtyneside.gov.uk no later than Friday 25th October 2024.
