Description

The East Ayrshire Coalfield Environment Initiative is seeking a contractor to carry out peatland restoration works aimed at reinstating the natural hydrological function of the Netherton blanket bog component of Glaisnock Moss, Cumnock, East Ayrshire. These works are scheduled to take place between October 2025 and January 2026. More details are contained within the Statement of Requirements. Lot 1: The blanket bog at Netherton is in a degraded condition, with extensive sections of artificial drainage. The proposed works include wave dam and zipping, the construction of timber dams, and surface cell bunding. More details are contained within the Statement of Requirements.. Tenderers should note that the award of the contract is subject to the securing of necessary funding.
