Description
Dyson House is a new build supported living scheme being built by Highstone Housing Association. The site when completed will consist of 4 two bedroom bungalows, an apartment block of eight two bedroom apartments and 1 one bedroom apartment, a maisonette consisting of 2 one bedroom apartments and 1 two bedroom apartment. It is anticipated that the development will be completed late August 2023 with a view of the tenants moving in from September 2023. The Apartment block will consist of 8 two bedroom apartments and 1 one bedroom apartment, over three floors. The apartments will have a lift, a communal space on the first and second floor, an office space on the ground floor with a separate staff toilet. The Council is in the process of identifying suitable tenants for the properties, but the intention is for the two bedroom apartments to have shared occupancy. The potential maximum occupancy is 17. However it could be that there may be a some tenants identified who might not be able to share, so some of the two bedroom apartments maybe single occupancy. There will be background hours for this scheme, and these are to be confirmed. The individuals identified for the service will fall into Category One and Category Two. Most will have a Learning Disability with Autism, with Behaviours that Challenge and/or profound multiple disabilities. However, these will not be as complex as the tenants identified for the bungalows. The support hours are not known at this stage but will confirmed once the potential tenants are assessed and confirmed. Also it is not known which rate the support will be paid at. The maisonette will consist of two one bedroom apartments on the ground floor with separate entrances and first floor will be a two bedroom apartment.
