North Northamptonshire Council - Provision of Uniformed Patrolling Wardens for Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Hotspot Areas In Northamptonshire
Published
Description
The two local unitary authorities for Northamptonshire - North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council are collaborating with the Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner to enhance uniformed patrols in areas significantly affected by Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). This initiative aims to increase the presence of uniformed personnel in designated hotspot locations and targeted areas to mitigate ASB incidents. The contract will facilitate an increase in visible patrolling efforts across 11 identified hotspot areas throughout Northamptonshire, with six in North Northamptonshire and five in West Northamptonshire. These areas have been identified through detailed analysis of ASB and crime data, focusing on locations with the highest incidence of persistent ASB based on Lower Super Output Areas (LSOA) data. The contract will initially run for six months, from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with the possibility of a one-year extension, pending grant-funding approval, through March 31, 2026. This would make the total potential contract duration 18 months.
