Procurement of logging and sales of timber

Description

The aim of the contract is to increase the value creation for the forestry industry in Oslo municipality. The aim of the procurement is twofold. Firstly, the procurement concerns a service for logging of forests owned by Oslo municipality. BYM is dependent on the best contractors on the market to be able to adapt to working in and developing multi-layered forests and to be able to harvest in rough terrain while making the least amount of tracks possible. Secondly, the procurement concerns a service for the sale of timber. Sales of timber includes both timber harvested by the contractor as well as timber harvested by BYM. The procurement will ensure that Oslo municipality can maintain active and sustainable forestry, which also serves outdoor recreation and biodiversity in Oslo municipality. Lot 1: Oslo municipality, c/o the Agency for Urban Environment (Norwegian: BYM), invites tenderers to an open tender contest in connection with the delivery of logging and sales of timber.
