Description

The Domestic Retrofit One-Stop Shop is one element of the larger Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project for which SCC have won a Government Grant funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and administered by the Greater Southeast Net Zero Hub (GSENZH). The other main element of the LEAD project is an in-person energy advice and thermal imaging service known as the Home Energy Advice Taskforce ('HEAT') which has reached over 550 households to date. A Home Decarbonisation Loan pilot scheme is also being explored as part of LEAD. The intention for the Domestic Retrofit One-Stop Shop is to procure an established provider with experience in delivering a comprehensive, centralized and streamlined, end-to-end retrofit solution for homeowners and landlords interested in improving their homes' energy efficiency, with benefits including energy bill reductions, health improvement carbon reductions. The procured organisation will act as the delivery partner and managing agent for the service, bringing experience in all facets of an end-to-end service including customer handling, coordination of works and, ideally, quality assurance. They should also preferably have experience in managing and vetting a network of trusted retrofit assessors, coordinators, installers and contractors, as well as be open to developing the local supply chain in Surrey. More details will follow in the RFQ and spec.
