Description
Lot 1: Huddersfield Energy and Recycling Facility (Design and Construct). Lot 2: Hull WwTW ((STF Refurbish and Inlet Works) (Design and Construct)). Lot 3: Huddersfield Energy and Recycling Facility (Design, Construct and Operate). Lot 4: Huddersfield Energy and Recycling Facility and Hull WwTW ((STF Refurbish and Inlet Works) (Design and Construct)). Lot 5: Huddersfield Energy and Recycling Facility and Hull WwTW ((STF Refurbish and Inlet Works) (Design, Construct and Operate (Huddersfield Only))). A new regional sludge treatment facility in Huddersfield, with a treatment capacity of 16 500 tds/annum is proposed. The works are to include new sludge reception facilities for indigenous sludge, imported liquid and cake, thickening, digestion, biogas collection and storage, dewatering facilities including lime stabilisation, and the provision of a sludge liquor treatment plant to discharge the treated liquors to an adjacent sewage treatment works. Bio-gas from the digestion process shall be collected and processed to optimise the net operating costs using either CHP or Gas to Grid technology. A new flow to full treatment (FFT) inlet works, with a Peak flow capacity of 2 000 l/s is proposed. The works are expected to include coarse screening, grit removal and fine screening, with screens handling, grit handling, odour control and liquor return pumping. The existing inlet works will be retained and configured to continue treating storm flows. Works on the Sludge Treatment Facility (STF) and the aerobic digestion plant will include new cake and liquid import facilities with sludge screening, refurbishment of the existing polymer plant, new digester feed system, inspection, refurbishment and upgrade of the existing digester vessels, new digester heating and bio-gas systems and a new de-watering facility which includes lime stabilisation. The scope will include refurbishment of the site potable and final effluent water systems and ensuring odours created by the new assets are effectively managed. A new regional sludge treatment facility (STF) in Huddersfield with a treatment capacity of 16 500 tds/annum is proposed. The Works are to include; new sludge reception facilities for indigenous sludge, imported liquid and cake, thickening, digestion, biogas collection and storage, de-watering facilities including lime stabilisation, and the provision of a sludge liquor treatment plant to discharge the treated liquors to an adjacent sewage treatment works. Bio-gas from the digestion process shall be collected and processed to reduce the net operating costs using either CHP or Gas to Grid technology. A further 5 year operational period will deliver efficient operation and maintenance of the new facility, which is optimised throughout the period. The delivery of Lot 1 and Lot 2, including an expected efficiency. The delivery of Lot 2 and Lot 3, including an expected efficiency.
