Training Services to Provide a Course on Climate Diplomacy for the Department of Foreign Affairs

The Climate Unit in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Development Cooperation and Africa Division (DCAD) provides support for international climate action policy across the Department. A key function of the Unit is to provide support for climate action across DFA. In order to build capacity to engage in climate diplomacy across the Department, Climate Unit intends to establish a Climate Diplomacy course. Training services are required to design and deliver a course providing a wide overview of climate developments influencing DFA’s work and how it engages with partner countries and institutions. An organisation will be engaged to provide an external professional training service for the Department. The course would be targeted at circa 15 colleagues per iteration across the Department, including in Embassies, who engage primarily with countries and/or partner organisations on thematic issues such as mitigation, green transition etc.
