Obstetrics and Gynaecology Software System

Published

Description

The primary purpose for the software is to upgrade the currently expired documentation system for gynaecological examinations specifically for ultrasound reporting. Upgrading the current system will ensure a comprehensive, structured and accessible report that includes collection of patient data and reporting data. This data comprises the examination of the uterus, ovaries and adnexae including the transfer of images and measurements as well as reporting of any risks of malignancy and assess the information needed to make confident decisions on further treatments. Apart from a gynaecology package, there should be a first trimester package included to be able to generate reports for first trimester pregnancy scanning. The reports are stored in the system to minimize the need of keeping paper based documents. The software should also be able to communicate with external systems and devices and integrate seamlessly with existing patient and hospital information systems. Within the department, it should be able to transfer images, measurements and patient data smoothly between workstations, ultrasound machines and hospital information systems.
