Interventions to Prevent and Reduce Serious Violence

Published

Value

500,000 GBP

Description

We are in the early stages of planning this work, we are looking to the market to understand what services are currently available to support The OPCC with prevention and reduction in Serious Violence. As the PIN and Request for Information is running in parallel to the needs assessment, we cannot yet fully determine the full need or requirements and associated budget. Overall maximum budget is £170k in 2023-24, £480k in 2024-25, however this budget will be split across service areas to fill gaps from the needs assessment. This may be though a mix of existing providers and new providers. New providers will be via a tender process spring 2023. Time lines are provided in the attached RFI. The OPCC would be grateful for your response to this PIN and Request for Information (RFI) Lot 1: The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is working with key agencies and Serious Violence duty holders in Cambridgeshire to respond effectively to the requirements of the new Serious Violence Duty and develop an evidence base for future interventions. In line with the Government’s Serious Violence Strategy and the Serious Violence Duty, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and other partners to tackle serious violence. Early intervention and prevention are key areas of focus. A full needs assessment is currently underway to aid the OPCC and partners in determining gaps in services and how these could be filled which will help partners to prevent and reduce serious violence in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The needs assessment is running in parallel to this RFI. Any gaps identified in the needs assessment will be either delivered through business-as-usual delivery, including by existing service providers who are already under contract or where there is no current service provider / provision, the market will be approached by way of a tender process. In order to plan for services which require tendering, this RFI will assist with understanding market interest from service providers. Additional information: Please review and complete the Request for Information by 14th February 2023 Please do not hesitate to ask questions
