Description

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a single party framework agreement for the provision of a services contract for the supply, installation, maintenance, and structured cable management of Cat6 / Cat6a cabling to the specifications of WWETB. Some fibre cabling may be needed from time to time as well as other standards e.g., cat5e, Cat7. The service is to supply and install IT network cabling solutions. This public procurement competition will be divided into 2 lots (each a “Lot”) as described below. Each lot will result in a separate contract. The tender is divided into 2 Lots. Tenderers may submit proposals for one or more lots and must be clear on which lots they are tendering for in their response. The minimum contract awarded will be one Lot. The quantities may also be varied depending on the funding available. Tenderers may tender for one or both lots. Lot 1- Provision of services as described in 1.2 for WWETB sites within County Wexford. Lot 2 – Provision of services as described in 1.2 for WWETB sites within County Waterford. In the context of a single-party framework agreement, the successful framework member does not have to compete for each new contract. It is emphasised that a framework agreement constitutes no guarantee to purchase a specific quantity of supplies or services from a particular economic operator. Indeed, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to operate outside of the framework agreement at its discretion, particularly should it become apparent that doing so would offer greater value for money. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the framework agreement approach has been adopted to leverage efficiencies and maximise cost savings over the duration of the framework.
