The contract objectives are to provide a service for current and future residents of two care homes for older people currently owned and operated by West Berkshire Council that:Provides a residential care or nursing service (as applicable) to individuals in need of accommodation and care.Meets the individually assessed needs of the service user who will receive the service as reflected in their person-centred care plan.The service will achieve a balance between providing care in a suitable environment together with the ability to be increasingly responsive to meeting the changing personal needs, expectations and the choices exercised by the service users and their families.AimsTo provide a safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, service which meets the assessed needs and preferences of adults requiring nursing and/or residential care including those who may have complex needs relating to dementia and/or behaviours perceived to be challenging. Lot Lot 1: Provision of Care for the Elderly at Two West Berkshire Care Homes Including Dementia and Nursing - Willows Edge The contract objectives are to provide a service for current and future residents of two care homes for older people currently owned and operated by West Berkshire Council that:Provides a residential care or nursing service (as applicable) to individuals in need of accommodation and care.Meets the individually assessed needs of the service user who will receive the service as reflected in their person-centred care plan.The service will achieve a balance between providing care in a suitable environment together with the ability to be increasingly responsive to meeting the changing personal needs, expectations and the choices exercised by the service users and their families.AimsTo provide a safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, service which meets the assessed needs and preferences of adults requiring nursing and/or residential care including those who may have complex needs relating to dementia and/or behaviours perceived to be challenging.To provide all aspects of care needs including but not limited to the provision of: all catering needs all medicinal needs including where necessary a system for obtaining timely prescriptions all equipment including specialist equipment necessary to provide the appropriate care for service users accommodation that is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times To meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements and consistently be compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements. This in particular relates to the responsibilities as a provider to adhere to national and the West of Berkshire Safeguarding Procedures.To maintain a sufficiently qualified staffing level commensurate with the needs of individuals and with the accepted tender bid.
